A salvation prayer for the Hubs!

A few months ago I began sending out a weekly e-mail devotional entitled "For the Love of our Children" which follows the same challenge/prayer format as my book. We are currently in our 16th week and I love all the Scriptures the Lord is leading me to pray over my children. His Word is alive and active!

Last week, I began posting these e-mails onto a new blog and started over with week one (Click here to open the For the Love of Our Children blog). I don't know why it didn't cross my mind before today, but I thought that by changing a few words here and there, I can easily take the prayer I wrote for my children and make it applicable for my husband as well! I wanted to post the new prayer onto this blog in case you wanted to pray it over your husband too!

Father God, You tell us in Your Word that Your hand is upon everyone who looks to You (Ezra 8:22), and I pray that my husband would look to only You for his Salvation. I pray he would seek You with all of his heart because You promise if he does so that he will find You (Jeremiah 29:13). Lord, in this world my husband will hear so many lies about Jesus and Salvation and I pray that he will not let anyone lead him astray (1 John 3:7) or put his trust in mortal men who cannot save (Psalm 146:3). Instead, I pray that he would stand firm in the truth that Salvation is found in no one other than Jesus Christ and that there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). I pray all of these things in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
