Holy Week!

My Fellow Praying Wives,

This is such a special time of the year! The remembrance of what Christ did for us on the cross followed up by the celebration of the empty tomb! I love this week! What a wonderful time to be praying for our husbands to acknowledge, remember, celebrate, honor, and accept the truth of Jesus!

In my book, For the Love of our Husbands, the devotion for week 13 has a prayer that is perfect to pray over our husbands this week! Let's be praying this together for our husbands!

Sweet Jesus, thank You for taking my place on the cross! I am humbled that You came to this earth, lived a sinless life (despite being tempted), and chose to endure emotional and physical pain as You were betrayed, beaten, and killed. All this so that we might join You in heaven one day! Your love for us is more than amazing. I pray this week that You would show more of Your deep and abiding love to my husband. May he look at the cross and the empty tomb with fresh eyes. May the story never grow old or become too familiar to him. I pray that it brings him to tears and to his knees each time he thinks of Your sacrifice. May he rest in Your love and be secure in your forgiveness knowing that it is a free gift. Thank You, Lord, for the work You completed on the cross! I pray that my husband would be more amazed at Your loving sacrifice than he has ever been before. Continue to show him Your unconditional love, and allow him to experience a fresh cleansing of Your grace. Thank You for being the One True God who did not stay in the grave. Thank you for rising from the dead and ascending into heaven, making our faith different than any other. Lord, You are more powerful than we could ever know, but I pray that both my husband and I would become more aware of Your love for us and the power You possess so that our love and fear of You would grow each day. It is in Your name that I pray with thanksgiving. Amen.
